The church is actively supporting Paballong Home of Safety by donating clothes, food, and other essential items needed by the orphanage. This vital aid, including groceries and necessities, helps the home continue its mission of caring for abused and abandoned children. Founded by Anna Molibeli in 2003, Paballong began as a temporary measure inside Molibeli's family home to alleviate the anguish of abandoned and abused children. Over the years, it has grown from being just a place of safety into a sanctuary for vulnerable kids, providing them with the love and support they need.
The center mainly survives on donations from private entities and organizations, including churches. Additional support comes from Molibeli's daughter, Ncumisa Nokha, who works as the Windmill Casino’s banqueting coordinator. The church's youth group plays a significant role in this outreach, visiting the orphanage two or more times a year to deliver food and spend quality time with the children, fostering a sense of community and compassion.
Molibeli shared that some of the children have stayed for years, becoming part of her family. The aim of the Paballong Home was to help girls, but over the years boys have also been accommodated. They were accepted to prevent siblings being separated. Some stay with them for a year, until their home situation is stable.
